There’s a nip in the air that’s causing us to reach out for our coats and jackets. With the temperatures dipping, our skin tends to stretch and become dry. We usually combat that by quenching it with thick body lotions. However, most often, we neglect our lips and that results in them being scaly and chapped. We’ve scouted around for some of the best lip balms that will appeal to every budget.

At the Filmfare Awards nominations party earlier this year, Anushka Sharma flaunted a sequinned Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna high-low tunic top paired with beige denims and heels. In contrast, her lip and nail colour was dark.
Since so many celebrities have been sporting this trend, we asked fashion designer, Payal Singhal, who showed a range of high-low pieces at Lakmé Fashion Week, to give us the low-down on the trend.
Q: Is the high-low tunic a 2013 trend and do you think it will continue in to 2014?
Payal Singhal (PS): I think the high-low style will continue into 2014 because trends now last much longer as the outfits can be worn in multiple ways to give it a fresh look.
Q: What is the origin of the high-low tunic?
PS: The high-low style originates from Victorian era dresses and gowns, but it re-appeared in late 2011 on the Europe and US fashion scene on dresses.
And now, the high-low tunic is a major fashion trend.
Q: Could you tell us 3 different ways to style a high-low tunic for different occasions?
PS: Lunch with the Girls: High Low Tunic, Leggings, Ballet Flats and a Cross Body Bag.
Date Night: High Low Tunic, Skinny Jeans, Pumps and a piece of statement jewellery.
Best Friend’s Mehndi: High Low Tunic, Patiala Salwar, Mojris with Chand Baalis.
Q: Who would you like to see wear a high-low tunic?
PS: Sonam Kapoor
Personally, I think it sounds like a fun piece to have in my wardrobe that I can style differently. What do you think of the trend? Are you going to try it out soon? Tell us in the comments below.
