 Biography
Amir al-mu'minln Ali (upon whom be peace) was the son of Abu Talib, the Shaykh of the Banu Hashim. Abu Talib was the uncle and guardian of the Holy Prophet (sawas) and the person who had brought the Prophet (sawas) to his house and raised him like his own son. After the Prophet (sawas) was chosen for his prophetic mission, Abu Talib continued to support him and repelled from him the evil that came from the infidels among the Arabs and especially the Quraysh.
According to well-known traditional accounts Ali was born ten years before the commencement of the prophetic mission of the Prophet (sawas). When six years old, as a result of famine in and around Mecca, he was requested by the Prophet (sawas) to leave his father's house and come to the house of his cousin, the Prophet (sawas). There he was placed directly under the guardianship and custody of the Holy Prophet (sawas).

eyes are windows

winged eyeliner tutorial
There is something about the simple winged eye liner look that appears flattering on everyone. The extra flick of liner has been done by women since the '50s and to this day, it still adds that extra dose of glamour to any look. It's surprisingly a very easy look to do yourself with any eye liner. Liquid, gel and cream eyeliners gives a precise line and pencil and eyeshadow gives a soft line. Check out these steps to create a simple winged eye with a liquid pen!
Step 1

STEP 1

For easy application, hold or set a mirror at chin level and look downwards. If you have unsteady hands, rest your elbows on a table. Gently drag the pen along the lashline and past the top outer corner of your eye. Follow the upward curve of your eye with the eye liner. For a dramatic winged look, draw farther out and angle the liner more.
Step 2

STEP 2

Now to create the winged effect at the outer corners! Start at the outer corner of the line you just drew and work back toward your eye, using a light sketching technique with the pen in short strokes.
Step 3

STEP 3

As you get closer to the inner lash line, draw a thinner line. You want the effect of the liner to be thin to thick from the inner corner of the eye to the outer.
Step 4

STEP 4

Follow the natural shape of your eye and connect the liner to the inner corner of your eye. Fill in any missing spaces along the lash line. Repeat on your other eye and voilà, you've completed your winged eye liner!

EASTER EGG DECORATING

Easter eggs are commonly decorated with lots and lots of colors. Ironically, wearing blocks of different colors is also in style right now too! Have you heard of color blocking? In terms of fashion (for both little girls and grown women), color blocking is used to describe when a garment has several solid colors integrated into the design. Imagine shirts and skirts with geometric “blocks” of colors. I thought it would be so fun to put a little fashion into our Easter eggs this year. Introducing: Color Block Easter Eggs!

Create geometric shapes with the washi tape. Luckily, the wash tape makes it easy to create triangles, squares, and rectagles. Simply get creative by wrapping a couple pieces of tape around your eggs.
Then, make sure the edges of the tape are securely sealed to the eggs.
With alternating pastel colors, paint your eggs! The acrylic paint on the white surface only took me one coat (score!). Plus, acrylic paint dries really quickly (score again!).
Be sure to keep one of the blocks white though! I reserved a white block near the top of each egg. Then, you paint that block with white Elmer’s glue and sprinkle on some golden glitter. Why not celebrate a golden egg in your Easter color blocking? SO FUN!
As you can see, I outlined the blocks of color with a black Sharpie. That part is optional but it helps to cover-up any spots where your paint lines weren’t perfect.
I think the gold adds just he perfect “pop” of glitter to the eggs.
