If you have oily skin, it’s likely that you also have large, visible pores. You’ve also likely searched for ways to shrink them, and make them less noticeable.
There are products sold over the counter that tighten skin and reduce the appearance of large pores, but you can also use these all-natural remedies to minimize them:
1. Cucumber, Lemon, And Rosewater
Peel a cucumber, then crush the flesh. Add a teaspoon of rosewater and a few drops of lemon juice. Fold this mixture up in a clean cloth, then apply it to your face. Rinse with cool water afterwards.
2. Egg White And Lemon Juice
2. Egg White And Lemon Juice
Make a facial mask by adding a few drops of lemon juice into the whites of two eggs. Spread it on your face, and let it dry a few minutes before rinsing with cool water.
This not only tightens pores, it will help remove dead skin cells and oil.
3. Tomato And Lime Juice
3. Tomato And Lime Juice
Add 2-4 drops of lime juice to a tablespoon of tomato juice. Use a cotton ball to apply the solution to your face, and leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing with cool water.
The acid in the tomatoes and the lime works as an astringent to remove oil, tighten skin and close pores.
4. Baking Soda And Water
4. Baking Soda And Water
Make a paste by stirring together 2 tablespoons each of baking soda and water. Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for about 15 minutes – you’ll feel it tightening! Afterwards, rinse with cool water.
5. Almond And Lime Juice
5. Almond And Lime Juice
Put a few almonds in a small dish of water to soak overnight. The next morning, mash them into a paste, and add in a teaspoon of lime juice.
Leave the mask on your face for about 30 minutes, then rinse off with cool water.
6. Lemon And Pineapple Juice
6. Lemon And Pineapple Juice
Mix together 1/2 cup of pineapple juice (non-sweetened!) with the juice of half a lemon. Soak a face cloth in the mixture, then lay the cloth over your face for 5 minutes. Don’t forget to rinse with cool water after.
Pineapple has enzymes which help cleanse and tighten the skin, and works well with the astringent effect of the acid in the lemon juice.
