News has come that Nokia has suspended all the sales of Lumia 2520 tablets after finding a fault in its charger units. This has taken effect in some European countries on Thursday as it could pose a threat of electric shock. According to report, it has been found that due to an internal quality control process that have been identified by a potential product with quality issue has led to a safety concern for most of the ac 300 charger units that have been manufactured by a third party.
It was found that there is a plastic cover of the exchangeable plug of the charger and under certain conditions it might become loose and separate as well. It also has the risk of the exchangeable plug that could come loose and separate as well thereby letting the chances of exposing certain internal components.
This could result to an electric shock when the plug remains in a socket if one touches it. So, for this, the company warned the consumers in Germany, Denmark, Austria, UK, Finland and Switzerland to avoid using the charger until further notice. It was also asked by the company to avoid using Lumia 2520 accessory travel charger as well.
It has been found that the warning applies to more than 30,000 chargers that included 600 accessory travel chargers that were sold in the United States. It was also confirmed by the company that they have not received any sort of incidents from the consumers due to their use. It can be mentioned that the Lumia 2520 tablet happened to be the latest product of Nokia that made good profits by selling in the market due to the huge response by the customers.
