You have an invite to a
really “happening” party tomorrow. And you wake up with two big pimples
today! As you wish them away, you wonder if anything can work so
quickly. Maybe you should just break them with your fingers, and risk
the scars. Or maybe you can look for a real solution….
Has this ever happened to you? Here are a few quick-fix tips to deal with pimples, as promised in the previous article in this series.
Lemon Juice: Lemon Juice is great for many skin ailments, and acne is one of them. Just apply freshly squeezed juice on your face and leave it on for 20-30 minutes. Then just wash it off with cold water. If you have sensitive skin, mix the lemon juice with rose water, and apply the mixture.
You can also use lemon juice as a cleanser/toner every night. Soak a cotton ball in fresh lemon juice and rub all over your face. This nightly ritual is known to keep skin fresh and glowing.
Egg Whites: This is also an effective strategy to get immediate relief from acne. Apply an egg white on to your face, making sure to cover the affected area. Leave it on for 25-30 minutes. Then wash off with normal water.
Alcohol: Dip a cotton ball in some whiskey and apply all over your face before going to bed. Leave it on during the night. You will see a marked decrease in the acne when you wake up in the morning.
Garlic: Many women swear by garlic paste for skin ailments. Garlic has medicinal properties, everyone knows that. But few people know that it can help in acne also. Just apply a garlic paste on the affected area and leave on for 25-30 minutes. Wash off with normal water and see the change!
Cucumber: Cucumber slices placed on tired eyes give such a relief! Similar relief can be experienced if you apply cucumber juice on an acne ridden face. Cucumber juice is a great cooling drink, which if taken regularly, improves complexion and keep skin beautiful.
