YOUR GUIDE TO SMOOTHER, RADIANT SKIN
No matter what the age, ‘soft skin’ probably tops every woman’s beauty wishlist. However, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done and pamper our skin the way it deserves. But like everything else in life, there’s a way around it. Your skincare mantra for softer skin should be ‘cleanse, massage, exfoliate’. Just incorporate these tiny steps to your everyday routine, stick to the routine, and be amazed by the results!
Tip: Moisturize to nourish and hydrate the skin to keep it soft and supple. A good hyaluronic acid based dermatological grade moisturizer should do the trick. Of course there is no substitute to a good night’s sleep, plenty of water and a good sunblock in the day. – Dr Mabroor Bhatty
. CLEANSE
Cleansing may sound like an elementary skincare step, but it's essential to wash with warm water and a mild cleanser each evening. Wiping off with a cleansing wipe before washing is a good-skincare bonus!
MASSAGE
Grapes are delicious, and so good for the skin! Slice a grape in half and gently massage across the face in a circular motion after washing up. The antioxidants and Vitamins C and E present in grapes help skin retain moisture and have great anti-aging benefits!
CLEANSE+MASSAGE
Nothing loosens dirt off skin like a good old massage with cold cream. Moisten face slightly and rub on the cream in circular motions, moving outwards. The massage boosts circulation, and once you're done, wiping off with a warm, moist cotton ball will thoroughly clean skin!
. EXFOLIATE, GENTLY
Sometimes our skin needs more than surface scrubbing. A serum or lotion containing AHAs (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) penetrates the pores to exfoliate gently. Try using your AHA based product at night, and remember to wear sunblock during the day!
EXFOLIATE+HYDRATE
Lactic acid is an AHA too, and we have it available readily to us in the form of milk! A warm teaspoon of milk applied to the face and left on for a few minutes works as a mild, liquid exfoliant. Add a teaspoon of honey to the mix to make your own exfoliating, hydrating mask!
