Apple has been very busy with unveiling different latest products in the market. Now news have come that the company has come up with a cheaper and a small version of the iPhone 5C. This made it possible to bring back the fourth generation iPad from the dead. In order to boost consumer interest, Apple unveiled an 8GB version of the iPhone 5C. It is to be noted that the 8GB edition would be available only in Germany, United Kingdom, China, Australia and France.
The 8GB version in the England has been sold for $711 which is a bit cheaper than the 16 GB version that sells for $778. It was found that it was not possible for customers in England in purchasing a subsidized iPhone from Apple. When it comes to the price of the 16GB iPhone 5C it sells for $100 where it includes a two year contract in the U.S. It is also seen that Apple sells an 8GB version in the U.S. of the two year old iPhone 4S in the U.S. with a two year contract.
According to analysts it was expected that it would prove to be a low cost smartphone for the iPhone 5C that was aimed at the Chinese market. But with the higher than the expected price has ledmany potential Chinese customers to scare off. Still it is not clear as how much demand can Apple provide for a smartphone where Walmart slashed the 16GB iPhone price to just $27 and that too with a two year contract.
