Facebook released the latest and updated version of its Facebook app for iOS. This has been done to improve on the niche segment of private sharing. According to the version v8.0 it has made it possible in allowing users in selecting specific people who would get the option to look at the photo albums of the users in their feed.
It can be mentioned here that over the past few months, there has been rolling out of the feature for the statuses and photos of the individual. Now it has been seen that the new version has helped in extending the same feature to the entire photo albums. It has been found that there are options to choose the photo albums which have got a lot of similarities to Snapchat.
It is set to ‘Friends’ by default for sharing the photos. In order to create a new custom list there would be an option for a pre-made friends list. So when users wish to share photos they would either have to create a new one or use the pre-made list. Since 2007 private sharing has been tried to push by Facebook that led to meet with mixed success on the same.
It can also be mentioned here that the private sharing option is not only done by Facebook as a feature. It was Path that tried to do it with their closest friend but got backfired. In addition to the updated version of its Facebook app for iOS, the company has also updated the design making it much easier to post as well as hare on iPad.
